The Horseland CCl4*-S and the Adelaide International CCl5* riders delivered in spades for Pryde’s Easifeed Dressage Day.
Following a series of exceptional performances on Thursday for the CCI3*-L, spectators were treated to 34 choregraphed routines in the iconic Gillian Rolton Main Arena.
Commencing early on Friday morning in crisp conditions, the competition delivered a stunning showcase of horsemanship across the day. Spectators had a front row seat as riders together with their horses displayed precision, trust, obedience, rhythm, agility and connection.
Olympian Shenae Lowings (AUS) delivered a stellar performance in the CCI4*-S with Emily Cammock and Andrew Barnett keeping scores tight leading into the weekend.
In the CCI5* all eyes were on Madison Seivwright with a smooth run into Cross Country Day with 27.0 Penalties.
The Oceania Championships is, for 2026 and 2029, running concurrently alongside the Adelaide Equestrian Festival – Adelaide last hosted the event in 2009. Australia currently takes the lead for the Oceania Championship in both the Young Rider and Senior Oceania Championship.
Adelaide Equestrian Festival Chair Greg Rolton said the Oceania Championships was an outstanding display of top-tier eventing and friendly rivalry.
“We are extremely fortunate to once again host the Oceania Championships alongside our friends from New Zealand. The competition is fierce and the Australian and New Zealand riders are equally as determined as each other to cement a win.”
“It’s a great chance for the crowd to get behind their team and favourite riders to encourage them along the way,” Mr Rolton said.
As the first phase of the competition comes to an end, riders prepare to take to the Adelaide Park Lands for Saturdays blockbuster RB Sellers Cross Country Day.
Thousands of Festival attendees will line the course that sprawls across Victoria Park through to Rymill Park to witness the very best equestrian action and crowd favourite water jump. Competition will commence at 9:30am Saturday 18 April, 2026.
Perfect conditions are set for Cross Country Day with spectators encouraged to arrive early to settle in and enjoy the festivities throughout the day.
“We couldn’t be luckier with the weather that we’re experiencing which has allowed for perfect groundcover and conditions for the riders, horses and spectators. Adelaide is certainly delivering a 5* event that meets and exceeds its international equivalents.”
