Fundraising for the Adelaide Equestrian Festival: Honouring Gillian Rolton AM's Legacy

Gillian Rolton AM, a true legend of the equestrian world, left an indelible mark on the sport through her exceptional achievements and leadership. As a dual Olympic Gold Medallist, her athletic prowess inspired countless riders and fans around the world. However, her impact extended far beyond the competition arena, where she also served as the visionary Event Director of the Adelaide Equestrian Festival, the only 5-star event in the Southern Hemisphere.

In recognition of her unparalleled contributions, the Main Arena at Victoria Park was rightfully named the Gillian Rolton Main Arena in 2018. This lasting tribute serves as a powerful reminder of her legacy and the monumental role she played in shaping the future of Equestrian sport.

 

The Gillian Rolton Legacy Fund

To ensure that Gillian's legacy remains a living, breathing part of Equestrian sport for years to come, the Adelaide Equestrian Festival has established the Gillian Rolton Legacy Fund. This fund is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the Adelaide Equestrian Festival, preserving it as a symbol of her enduring influence on the sport.

 

The fund’s purpose is twofold:

• To safeguard and maintain the infrastructure that was so thoughtfully shaped under Gillian's leadership, ensuring it remains at the highest standard for athletes and spectators alike.

• To continue her mission of promoting excellence in Equestrian sport, inspiring future generations to reach their potential and build on the legacy she established.
